Well I have never considered myself a patient person, so having to wait until this lil guy is ready to make his appearance is not my jam. I am a business owner and have difficulty accepting anything that I don’t have control over (just keeping it real…LOL). In these last 3 weeks of my pregnancy (hopefully not 4 or 5!!!) I am teaching myself patience, to enjoy time relaxing with my husband, eating foods I normally wouldn’t “splurge” on once and a while, and just letting life happen.

My little bean isn’t even here yet, but he is already teaching me that once he get’s here I will have no control over my schedule anymore. As much as I know this will be hard for me, I know I am ready for it and I am ready to embrace the new “mommy” lifestyle.

I know he will come out once he is ready……(but let’s hope its not 10 days late!! lol).

Am I Still Working Out? Why Yes I am 🙂

My workouts have been dialed down quite significantly since this little bean is getting bigger and pressing his beautiful little head on my bladder LOL.

Keeping up with cardiovascular training (battleropes, interval training on the elliptical, and walking on an incline on the treadmill) as well as lifting lighter weights (and bodyweight exercises) to try to maintain some of my strength. It still feels good to sweat, keep my body moving, and feel a little burn in my muscles!

The Haters Are Still Out and Still Coming After Me

As I am now finished up with work (other than a few personal training clients because I just can’t say no to them lol). I am working out more in my condo gym. Every time I walk in there with my big old belly there are a few people in there that just glare at me. They give me looks like I am trying to harm my baby? I don’t get it? Why do people think that just because you are pregnant you have to sit on the couch and eat as much food as you can for 9 months?

Sorry Just a Rant, Had To Get That Out……LOL

I am still only up 25lbs, but have lost a lot of muscle mass.

Check out my progression over this pregnancy!  It still boggles my mind that my body did all of this on it’s own and just knew what to do!

While looking in the mirror the other day, I noticed that LITTLE BEAN STOLE MY HARD EARNED BOOTY!

Yes I felt the need to put that in capital letters! I am not mad about it, but I’m just shocked! I have always prided myself on my strong powerful legs, but with the lack of deadlifting, squatting, and plyometrics it seems my legs have slimmed down and my bum has flattened. I blame it on the elliptical! LOL.

Check this out:

It’s all good, I’m not worried about it because I know this is not temporary. Growing my future son and keeping him healthy is much more important than the fact that my pants fall down now because I don’t have a bum to hold them up. I will come back stronger than I was before, I always love a good challenge.

MY COMEBACK IS NOT EVEN ON MY RADAR RIGHT NOW

I am not even thinking about that as I prepare for the biggest workout of my life: LABOR!

I am going to enjoy time with my son once he get’s out here and cherish every moment. I will return to my workouts once I feel ready, and well once I can bring him in his little stroller to the gym with me 🙂 (I wish I could say I was kidding…lol….poor little guy will grow up watching his mom go HAM on some weights!).

Check out some of the workouts I have been doing in weeks 37-39

What Do I Do With All Of This Free Time??

Since I have finished up with the majority of my in-person training clients, we have the nursery all ready for our little bean, and things are running smoothly at my studio. My husband and I find ourselves lost for what to do with all of this free time?

I can’t say that I’m bored, it’s very nice having some free time to enjoy some quality time with hubby, workout when I want to, nap when I feel like it, and really just relax! If this is “mom life” then I’m game, at least for a little bit! LOL. (don’t worry I’m not that naive, I know this is not “mom life” lol)

Bean is Still Growing Strong, Getting Bigger Each Day, But Let’s Get Him Out of There

Midwife appointments each week are my excitement these days, as I get to hear our little man’s strong heart beat pumping inside my ever growing belly. New feelings of him rolling, kicking, and punching me from the inside is what keeps me and my hubby occupied most evenings. We call it play time, he responds well to us and we truly feel like he is playing back with us through his powerful kicks.

Check out this video of little man leg pressing my bowl of fruit and yogurt!

You know this makes me proud! My little guy doesn’t skip leg day, even from the womb!

As the weeks get closer to due date, I am getting more and more anxious to meet my son. As much as I want him out of there, I kindly asked him to not make his appearance until after the Coldplay concert. He’s already a good boy, he listened and allowed his mom one more night out to enjoy the amazing live performance by Coldplay.

Coldplay Concert 39 Weeks Preggo?? Sure, Why Not?

I sure got a lot of funny looks, but that’s OK. Little bean was kicking the entire concert and we both had a great time! He has literally grown from scratch surround by the loud music of my fitness classes so let’s hope loud noises will just soothe him right to sleep once he is out here.

As I sit here and type this I am 5 days away from bean’s due date of October 7, 2017. I can feel him kicking and rolling as I type this and am hoping these movements are him dropping lower so that we can meet him soon. Looking at the baby pool we started at my studio, many people are predicting he will come a few days to a week after his due date. I am hoping they are all wrong! Even though I am feeling good and I am terrified about how this whole labor thing is going to go, I am dying to meet our little bean.

Come Out Soon Bean, Your Parents Want to Meet You
