Being a busy business owner and Mom, sometimes (even though I own a gym) I don’t have the time to get down to my gym to get in a workout.  This skipping rope HIIT cardio and core workout is one of my favourite go-to quick workouts to challenge my cardio, work my core strength, and blast a lot of calories in a short amount of time!  The skipping rope will forever be my favourite piece of equipment that I can take anywhere, don’t need a lot of room to use (look it even works in my basement), and always challenges me.  I love using the skipping rope over running and any other cardio machine because it not only challenges my cardiovascular endurance, but also works every other muscle in my body too! 

Parter the skipping rope with some solid core strength exercises and Boom you have yourself a great workout!  I love workouts like this because they don’t take a lot of time and all you need is a skipping rope.  Great for a workout on vacation or anywhere your little heart desires.  You can continue to challenge yourself by going faster and faster with the skipping rope or by extending the time from 30 seconds to 45 second intervals.

Here is how you do it:

Skipping Rope HIIT Cardio & Core Workout 

Workout Outline:

Perform Each Exercise for 30 Seconds with a 10 second Break Between

skipping rope

1. Speed Skips

2. Superman

3. High Knee Skips

4. 4 Leg Scissors + 2 Toe Touches

5. Alternating Single Foot Hops

6. Plank Walk Out + Glute Raise

7. Leg Kick Out Skips

8. Side Plank With Hip Abduction

9. Heel To Toe Skips

10. Side Plank With Hip Abduction

11. Plank Hold

Rest x 1-2 Minutes and Repeat for another 2 Rounds!
