Ok, so let’s be honest, there is no such thing as a “totally healthy” chocolate chip cookie.  Well maybe there is, but it probably doesn’t taste like a cookie you want to eat or a chocolate chip cookie that you will enjoy eating.  That’s what cookies are for right?  My mentality is that if you are going to eat a low calorie, zero taste, low carb, low everything cookie, just don’t bother.  In my past experiences, trying to make cookies that are too healthy (made with zero sweetness and flavour) has lead to increased cravings for the real stuff!  It’s like you are giving your tastebuds just a little glimpse of what it could have and then you want more, by more I mean Chips Ahoy!  Am I right??

Yes, I am a fitness and nutrition nut, but it doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy a good cookie (or donut – I love a good donut!) once and a while.  My mentality is that I am not afraid to eat classic chocolate chip cookies, but I figure if I can make my own that are a little bit healthier and lower in sugar while still tasting just as good then I’m game!!

I don’t count calories, so I don’t know the calorie count or the macros – let’s be honest they are still cookies with chocolate chips; however, I find even just one of these cookies is enough to fulfill a sweet tooth craving and move on with my day 🙂
